Students Learn School Bus Safety

During School Bus Safety Week (October 19-23), North Rockland Central School District students (pictured: kindergarteners at Thiells Elementary) learned how to stay safe around the school bus, including understanding the “danger zone” where drivers may not see them, waiting for the driver’s signal before crossing and knowing what to do if something falls into the road. They also learned about the bus’s emergency exits and why it’s important to know how to use them.
